7.5" upgrade - mod itch
Got some money saved up. For a long while
now I have wanted to go to a T-2R chunk,
and I figure while apart to go up to 3.42s
(I have a used set in a box around here),
hard collar w/ shims rather than crush sleeve,
maybe a Ratech bearing kit and a T/A or LPE
or similar stud-preload diff cover. I don't have
that much engine output but figure I might
as well beef the thing where it makes some
sense; not willing to go as far as a 12-bolt
(don't have the patience to wait another
ten or so paychecks). The T-2R launch &
cornering performance is the motivation,
the rest is "opportunistic", while-apart.
Wondering whether anybody has found one
of our sponsors selling a "bundled" set of parts
like this (in which case post) or done well
elsewhere (PM)? Seems like I have to hit 5-6
different places to pick up all of what I want.
I know of only one place I can get the T-2R
(Strano) but they seem to not carry much
else of rear end stuff.
And, of course, wondering if there's something
smart to do that I've missed?

I did all you did too, 2 years ago. Rear end is holding up fine; I've got heads and cam now and beat it pretty good. The T2R is just awesome for cornering etc. Unfortunately I had to go to 5-6 places to get parts too. And I used Redline for the gear oil.
