Default Gear makes a lot of noise

We install the gears and posi today. I tried to torque down the nut on the yoke but it just wouldnt tighted really good. After breaking the socket we decided that the sleave must have crushed. We put everything pack together and the only time it makes a noise is when u arent giving it any gas. It then makes a really loud noise. Also the teeth left really nice marks in the grease so i dont think the backlash is off.

Should i just take it to someone who has a stronger impact gun than i do and get them to put a little more torque to it?

First, I would remove and verify backlash is set between .006 and .012. THEN check your wear pattern. Do you have 3 or 4 channel ABS? Sounds like you have a 3, and the exciter ring is too far away from the sensor.

You must set the pinion preload properly or the rear end will never be right! It sounds like you have no idea how to do that! Like Glenster said, get some knowledgable help!
