Bad Posi?

Bad Posi? Hey guys, so I recently picked up a used 10 bolt from a '99 z28 6 speed (GU8, G80, 3.42 gears & posi) because i'm trying to get rid of my stock 2.73's. Now, when it is turned by hand, both axles DO NOT spin at the same speed. One spins like it should, the other hardly spins. Does this mean the posi is bad? Is it normal? I would like to figure this out before I install the rear end. Any help appreciated.
The last year Auburns were supplied was 1998,Torsens started with the 1999s'. I don't think either one in more desirable or less desirable. Auburns,because they're a clutch type,wear out and their breakage weak spot is its' spiders. Torsens don't 'wear out' but they have breakages in the cap area that holds the internals together. Either one has good service longevity behind automatics.

Torsen only break when you're under power and one wheel slips and the little itty bitty worm wheels and worm gears inside turn and try to spin the other and they just break. Usually when a very sticky tire catches HARD on the not spinning side. Other than that you should be fine.
