Default New rear end

Hi I'm looking to replace my factory 10 bolt with a 12 bolt or a 9" rear end.
I will be looking at ratios around 3.90, and I also need the rear end to be strong.
Is there a brand or a website that people here have good experience with?
What has been reliable for people?

For immediate response, the search feature is quite stellar. You can also put something like this into a browser search: "10 bolt replacement site:ls1tech.com"

Either an S60 or a 9". See: https://ls1tech.com/forums/gears-axl...m9-street.html. I read and read and went with an MWC fab 9 with 3.89 gears. Very strong, especially with back brace and 35 spline axles, plus the fitment advantages in that thread, plus MWC has all the rest of the rear suspension parts designed to work all together with their fab 9. Downside is it can take several months to get it and the gears are noisy but I am overall satisfied thus far. You should be able to get the S60 sooner. Other options are 8.8 or 12 bolt. I haven't run either but after reading and reading I was not comfortable with using either of these on a torque arm F body.

Nothing at all wrong with an S60 other than if you want to change gear ratio and want to pay a workshop to do it, you either have to give them the car or remove the whole rear axle. With a 9" you can remove axles then unbolt only the center section and take that to get a gear swap.

What do you think about the Moser 12 bolt?

I'm making 650rwhp and went with a 3:55 gear ratio for traction reason.

My first question would be how much power are you making and what transmission do you have because anything over 450 to 500 horsepower i would stay away from the 12-bolt my next question would be do you have a budget in mind and if so i would consider the S60 bang for the buck you can not beat it and you will never break it. Give us a call and we can go over all the options and answer any questions you might have.

My problem with the S60 is the lack of 3.90 ratio available for my 1999 camaro.

I hear good things about the S60 but I don't see a 3.90 ratio available for my car.

Unfortunately the options in that range would be a 3.73 or a 4.10.
