Gears for 9inch
I wouldnt go with pro gears (9310) if it will be used on the street. You can use the performance gears or the lightweight AX gears for a few dollars more. They save a couple of pounds w/o giving up strength.
Are particular Motive gears (performance or the AX) better as far as less whining?

He has all sorts of gears and free shipping at a very understandable price, owners name is mike, made a ton of money off of me already and will continue to.
As far as thicker gear sets, that is only for different applications. If 2 brands of gears are for the same application they are the same thickness and made from almost the same material. Price difference between a performance and regular gear is minimal, 20-40 depending on where you buy it.
