Default Upgraded 10 bolt to get by until 9", will it hold up?

First off just want to say i know the 7.5 is not a great axle. Im considering doing 4.10s, a girdle, axles and having the tubes welded to the housing to get me by until i buy a fab 9. It has a factory torsen diff. Question is will it take low 11/high 10 second passes in a 3500lb automatic 4th gen with a 4500 stall for a while? I know a 6 speed will kill one in short order i dont have any personal experience with one behind an auto so im curious what kind of longevity others have had.

A bit will depend on how sticky the rear tires are and how you leave the starting line.

Definitely gonna be living on borrowed time. That 4500 converter might make its life that much shorter. How long were you planning on using it before buying a 9" rear end?? Personally I wouldn't even bother screwing around with a 10 bolt that's money that could be spent on a better 9" unit

I've seen the teeth sheared off a 10 bolt 4.10 pinion. It's small. 3.73 would be slightly stronger.

I ran for years on a 7.5 with just a girdle with 3.73 richmond gears.
Mod's in my sig.
I think what really helped a lot was my running Hoosier QTP's which were a bias ply tire with soft sidewalls.
I would launch off the footbrake at 2500-2700 rpm's on nitrous
They wrinkled upon launch and really took a lot of shock off of the drivetrain.
My pinion eventually broke a tooth, but i was still able to drive 40 miles home.
After that i spent some money and bought a strange engineering 12 bolt,
