Question 4.11`s, 27" tire, 228/.588 cam=Too much for a A4??

I`m a little torn on what gear to go with in this 12 bolt. I`m going to a 27" tall tire so I was thinking 4.11`s but I may also want to play around with a 150 wet kit next season and those may be a little much. I would think a 3.73 would be better suited for N2O play. I`ve never been able to pin down the Dia.xRPM/MPH(?) formula. Can ya help a guy out??

Well, on a 26" tire with 3.23s, a 3000/2.2 converter and
not-that-much-more-than-stock engine output I can
burn through first and part of second on really good
street tires. So I think unless you have really nice slicks
and the suspension to use them 4.11s will just be a
waste. Plus, you don't want to trap "over the top" of
the 3-4 shift. I would work backward from that; figure
out what you expect your trap speed to be with the
shot, at your preferred redline RPM,and then get to the
gearing @ tire size.

I think there are calculators for that kind of thing
floating around on the 'net.
