This is what we need to try. It is a reluctor wheel attached to the pinion shaft at the rearend. The company is Jags That Run. Here is a link to the picture and an explanation:

As of now, this cannot be done but what can be done is the CAPS lock being turned off (next to the "A" key)

I've been wondering about the same thing. I am dropping in a 395 LS1 into my 94 3.4 Camaro. I'm in this way too deep to turn around (so please dont tell me not to do it).

I found out the hard way that I have to change out just about everything. I also want to drop a 9" in but dont wqant to lost the ABS. Since I have purchased most of the parts to upgrade to a 99+ LS1 Camaro, I think I can just get the ABS computer and any wiring needed to make it work.

There is a way to do anything. It's a little involved though, just take your rear to any good fab shop, and they should be able to do it. The difficult parts is machining your ring gear to accept the reluctor ring, and then mounting the pickup in the top of the housing.

I saw a ABS kit that bolted in by the pinoin support on a rear end before. I was a externat ring that went on to the yoke with a sensor that attached to a bracket. It looked kinda flimsy though. I will try to find a link.

Is there not an adapter that a 3 channel car can plug in to the sensors for a 4 channel?
We just converted a 3 channel 10 bolt to a 4 channel. But that is easy.

I guess there are two scenarios:

1. Modifying a 3 channel system to accept a 4 channel rear end (9" or 12 bolt)
2. Modifying the 4 channel rear (machining) into a 3 channel.

Scenario one is the plan that I want to try, because I am already swapping out every friggin thing but the body of the car, so I think it will be easier for me . I just wish I had more details in what needs to be changed (like ABS computer? wiring?)

Scenario two seems easy enough, but requires machining the diff housing and possibly the ring gear. Why isnt Moser, Currie or any other players currently doing this? Is it even possible? Does the 9" ring gear have a larger outer diameter than that of a 10 bolt? If so wouldnt that affect the pulses that the sensor sees? (or does that even matter)

The reluctor ring mounted on the pionion will be going 3 to 4 times faster than one mounted on the ring gear depending on rear gear ratio.I don't think that will work for us.
