C-clip

HOW THE HELL DO U GET THE C-CLIPS OUT!!!!!!! i push the axel in and then i cant take the c-clip off, tell me some secrets of how to get them out!!!!!!

have you turned the axles around so they would fall out? Thats all i did.

You might have to tap it some. Usually you just need a long reach magnet.

alright i got the axle that is not broke out, now how do u get the axle out that is broke, i got the big piece out now i need to get the little 3 inch piece out????? and ideas?????

It depends on where it is broken. You may have to pull out the case to get it out.

Shi* it broke by the gear case???? i hope i dont have to take the whole thing apart.....

This will sound ghetto, but if you can get it into the axle tube you can fish it out with a wire hanger, but you may still have to pull the axle bearing.

Welcome to the club... I spent $425.00 on getting a set of aftermarket Yukon axles rushed to me so I could get this thing back on the road. The day before the axles arrived I went out to pull the differential and get any metal out of there and discovered it was split. I can not see spending another $400.00 on another differential and then end up with a slightly stronger stock geared (3.42's) 7 1/2" 10 bolt. It would cost me about another $400.00 to install a set of gears, new bearings, and cover with load bolts/ girdle. Add it all up and I have a $1200.00 10 bolt. ???????'s

You wont be able to push it all the way into the case because it tapers right past the spline. You will have to remove the c-clip and push it into the axle tube. If you have to, removing the case isnt that big of a deal, just keep the shims on the right side to reinstall it.
