Default Do I have the 3 series or 4 series carrier?

I have a 12 bolt, going to buy another set of 4.10's. How do I know if I have the 3 or 4 series carrier? I have ABS but I do not have traction control if that determines anything.

Does it even make a difference?

What ratio do you have now? 3.90 and up is 4 series unless they used a thick gear.
