LOL...I can't help you out there, I'm just curious why you had such thick oil anyways - what do you use it for?

i ran it for a while in my 10 bolt when i still had the 3.08's hoping they would quiet down some. they diddnt quiet down, and i diddnt notice any difference. i did alot of research and everyone deemed it alright to run that fluid. i wouldnt worry about it! i have an auburn posi, and i added the friction modifier to that weight lube and went to town.

the rear end blew up the other day, but i dont think it was due to the fluid

It'll be fine. I run that stuff in all my rears. It helps to cushion any driveline shock between the R & P.

I ran it in a true-trac that I put in for a customer. He used the truck to go hunting, so he put a true-trac in the front to go with the Eaton in the rear. Also towed alot so HE requested the heavier lube. I drove the truck, and it seemed okay, and a torsen and true-trac are very similar. The cold weight is supposd to be the same, dont know if he had any problems though.
