I would go with motive or gm gears.Since your having to ask(no offense intended),I would get someone that's done it before,or have a shop do it.

I have gm 4.10s in mine and it dosen't have any noise. You might want to pay someone else to put it in.

I have Richmond 3.73's. They make a little noise at certain speeds, but I have been told that, basically, a stronger gear set will make some noise. I personally would rather have a bit of noise knowing that the gear set is beefy. The headers w/ true duals drowns it out anyway.

Do you know what gears you have now? If you have 2.73's you will have to get a set for a series 2 carrier. If you have 3.23's you will need a set for a series 3 carrier.

If you have no experience, then you will have to have someone install them. DON'T BARGAIN SHOP!!! Find a reputable person/shop to do it so it gets done right.

Richmonds are doing the job for me. A little noise like said before but my exhaust can take care of it. Definately have some one with experience do it.

3:73s with an auto. 4:10s are really a 6 speed gear.

With an A4 I'd go 3.73. They're a little stronger too.

I like my Strange gears from thunderracing. I got 3.42s for street and highways and cause my tires were no big wup. Now I will be putting on Nitto 285s next week when I get my black z06s on and wished I went 3.73.

Look on the driver's side door.

If it has GU2 code you have 2.73's

GU5 3.23

im currently in the process of putting the gears in my car myself, if you have the money pay someone to do it, pay them, its a pain in the *** if you dont have all the right tools (pinion depth gauge, dial indicator, yoke holding tool) and it doesnt help any that im doing this in my garage with jack stands, there isnt much room to move around

if you want a challenge do it yourself

if you want it done right and done quickly, pay someone to do it

Nope, it should be on the driver's side door. Bopth my 1998 and 2001 Z28 & SS have the RPO label there. Some LT1 models had it in the glove box, like my old 1994 Z28.
