Default Fluid for Moser 12?

I know i had this saved somewhere but for the life of me i can't find it

My new 3.73's in my Moser 12 have about 1200 miles on them, so i think it's time to change the fluid for the first time.

It's a Moser 12 w/ an Eaton HD posi
What fluid should i use? How much exactly? and how much limited slip additive?

Thanks

Any non-synthetic fluid (75-80w/90) will work... you don't want to use synthetic in the 12 bolt. I also add two of the small bottles of limited slip additive.

My T/A cover on my 12 bolt has a fill hole in the upper part that makes it very easy to fill... I fill it with 2.5 quarts of fluid.

just start filling untill it pours out of the side plug just like normal. It takes over 2 quarts with the Perf cover.

I use valvoline and GM LSA.

Oops. I put synthetic in mine and have ran it about 150 miles. Why is synthetic bad?

The posi needs an amount of friction to perform correctly. Synthetic is too slippery.

Synthetic gear oil + carbon fiber clutch discs in the Eaton posi = kaboom to clutch pack.

So I hear.
