You dont need anything special for a true locker. Just 80/90 dinosaur juice, or whatever weight you prefer.

I won' t argue with the expert , however Jay Billingsley told me to use 75w140 synthetic after a 500 mile breakin with dino.

I go with a thicker viscosity too because I have an M6. I may lose a horsie or two, but maybe worth it. Thicker fluid = better shock protection.

I hope.

Yeah, like I said, the weight is a preference thing. If it is a track only vehicle the lighter weight is better due to the fact it never reaches operating temperature. On street vehicles the heavier weight holds it viscosity better when its hot. The synthetic thing is also preference. There is nothing really special about a locker that requires any different type lube, so synthetic wont hurt it like it might a posi.

Use Royal purple on all my rear builds. Less noise and better gear life so far!

Yeah I'm one of those people that has tryed alittle of it all and its the best I have found people sometimes ask me Qs like my rearend is clunking or poping when I shift in my M6 I recommend swapping to royal purple and when they do they say it helps cut about half of it out! I like it because when ya have the standard type carrier in these rears it also helps with the engaugement of the locking gears in the carrier when ya turning the tire over for ya burnouts! Plus everyone is finally starting to use it aroud here!

You can try Lucas Synthetic. It comes with limited slip additive already in it which these cars call for.
