I have heard that lowering your car hurts you at the track, but its good for the streets, turns and what not. Is this true? I just ordered some springs and would to know this before I have them installed! Thanks for your input.

I've heard of it helping for road racing, but not drag racing. If anything, lowering your car will hurt drag racing performance, because of weight transfer, I believe.

A response to one of my posts someone noted that lowering your car will ONLY effect traction if you dont get relocation brackets. I dont know if the brackets will also cure the weight transfer problem. Can someone else clarify?

I have had my car lowered a little over a year now. I can't tell any difference at the dragstrip, it seems my car spins a little more since I got it lowered but it may be my imagination and the tires are a little slicker

I have lower control arms coming also, and I still need to order relocation brackets. Will these help traction and weight transfer, if I am getting an Adjustable PanHard Rod to?
Thanks guys

The new LCAs and brackets will help. I have Eibach sportlines on my car - really low - and upgraded the rear suspension w/ adjustable BMR stuff (LCA, Panhard, TA) and LCA lower brackets at the same time. My 60' times remained pretty constant before and after, and wa pulling mid-1.8 short times on street tires (F1s) late in the fall. So you can have your cke and eat it too with the right mix of parts.

I have Hodgkis 1.5" lowering springs on my car. But no relocation brackets Which I just ordered. I strongly recommend getting the relocation brackets. Unless I pull the front sway bar I get zero traction. And for street driving no front sway bar feels like A$$. Just my .02, Jason
