Order new, longer axles from Moser?
perches and a tq arm provision is no prob
Can't I take the brake and ABS stuff from the old rear and transer them?

79 Chevelle? You mean a 69 Chevelle or a 79 Malibu?
I think that the 69 Chevelle 12 bolt will be too wide so you will need to get it narrowed and get different axles.
Will need to add tq arm support, spring perches, correct flanges for the ends.

if you spend the extra cash to shorten the tubes, do what Joe K. did and go in an extra 1.5" on each side. that way you can run 15x8.5" Centerlines (they look the best ) and not grind, and not stock out at all.

ooops. Yeah I meant a 69 Chevelle. A friend of mine ordered a new rear for his, and he said I could use the old one.
I'm just kicking around the idea. Researching and trying to see if it is feasible or if it will even be strong.
Thanks for the info guys.

If you really want to get serious, a coil-over/ladder bar setup could take the place of the torque arm/lca's...
