I'm turning about 2,500-2,600 at 70 mph with my 3.73's.
3.73 gears were never installed as stock equipment.

look on the sticker on your door if there is a GU5 then you have 3.73 gears and if you have GU2 then you have the 2.73 gears. thats if the rear end is still stock.
