Default Posi unit for Ford 9"
Anyone know of a quality posi unit for the 9"? I had the Auburn Pro posi for a while, but it was not that great at the track. I then decided I wanted a spool, but now I am thinking of driving on the street a little more and want the best of both worlds.

Anyone know of the "holy grail" posi for the 9" besides a locker?

How about a detroit truetrac? The clutchless posi, supposed to be very strong and streetable, but I have no personal experience with it so I'm not really sure.

my locker is the hawtness. i love it and would have it any other way

if you want more of a posi would recommend the truetrac

i also had the aurburn, didnt last long

How bad is a locker in the rain? I have been wanting to drive my car more places, but thinking about a locked rear in the rain kind of scares me.LOL

I remember calling around when I was getting the spool and asked someone about a posi, and they said they had one that used clutches and was very aggressive..only problem is that I don't remember who it was.LOL

Tru trac is the ****.3 pinion torsen style diff,no clutches or cones to wear out,instant

There are some that are like the True Trac that are even better but they are expensive. Oval track racers use them. Diamond Trac and Black Gold come to mind.

drive cautiously and dont try to do powerslides and its fine. You can always take corners slow
