Dial indicator mounts: other than Jegs
Anyone have any suggestions other than Jegs.com for dial indicator mounts or stands. I am looking to change my gears, and know where to get an Dial indicator. Just the mounts I could only find in Jegs.com for $50. Anyone cheaper? Thanks,

What mounts? Are you talking for setting the pinion depth? Or just a mag base for setting back lash?

I work in a factory that produces Camshafts for OEM. I am a quality engineer and can think of nearly a thousand different brands of Dial Indicators and Stands etc...depends on how much you are looking to spend. I'm not sure what is in Jegs, but I'm pretty sure I can find something of the sort. Email me mwrutan@hotmail.com

Re: Dial indicator mounts: other than Jegs
I sent you an email about the mount I am looking for. If anyone else knows where I can get something like the mount from Jegs.com I would appreciate the info. Here is a link for the mount I am refering to. Also this is for a rear differential gear change.

So you can have an idea of what I mean. Thanks,

Try Harbor Freight or Northern Tool. You should be able to get one for $25 dollars. That price in Jeg's is as stupid as the price on LS1 headers. Except for Hookers.

Try http://www.ontool.com I bought my dial indicator that I use for brake work from them. They might have just the mount, either magnetic or vice grip.
