ABS INOP over 70MPH?

I had a rear speed sensor somehow come loose and grind itself into the wheel a few months back. Replaced the sensor, checked the wiring and all plugs, all seemed fined. Scanned, no codes (even with the lights set). Now, I can drive the car around town all day with no problem but a few minutes on the hwy over 70 eventually = abs inop + no TCS. Stop the car, come back restart, lights are still on but turn off as soon as I put it in drive. Pretty predictable behavior. WTF? Should I have reset the PCM once the new sensor was put in?

If it ground itself into the wheel, did it perhaps
damage the reluctor as well? Maybe need some
finicky positioning to get good magnetic chopper
signal?

A buddy of mine has this problem with his 01 ZO6 at 100mph, he hasn't fixed it though.

Maybe it is a positioning thing. If the reluctor was damaged wouldn't I have problems regardless of speed? The sensor looks to be dead even...

All 4 tires have to be same height, or very close

I had this ABS In-op+no TCS problem once. When I had that, the lights would come on when I hit very hard bumps. It turned out to be my pinion bearing acting up. Had the dealer fix it and the problem was gone.
