I'm sure the guy that started this thread has a legit problem, but just for the sake of anyone else happening along I'll point something out:
A lot of 'leaks' are really fluid coming out the breather at the top of the pumpkin. Perhaps even enough to drip on to the ground, but mostly it's seen as a wet stain on the housing. You can tell where the fluid is coming from by looking for a thin transverse line of fluid on the underbody (which indicates pinion seal) or just a broad stain all around (breather hole).
If it's the breather, that can either be ignored or solved via a longer breather tube.

had mine fixed again, and another time, and it leaked again both times . been leaking ever since. a guy i know that has a shop told me to bring it to him, so i did. he took it all apart and actually cleaned everything up and looked at it. it turns out my yoke was all pitted up. how does that happen? i went and got a spare yoke out of a buddy of mines extra rear, so i guess tommorow i will finally see if my woes are over.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, I don't see how the yoke could be a problem. It doesn't touch the pinion seal does it?

mine leaks like a bitch too. Never been apart..that I know of. Isnt the point of the seal to go around the yoke?

No, the seal goes around the pinion shaft, the yoke bolts on to the splined end of the pinion shaft. The yoke is what the u-joint bolts in to.

Not really, sometimes if the shaft is out of balance and/or bad ujoints you may wear a grove in the yoke pinion shaft and that will cause the pinion seal to leak.

there isnt a groove in the yoke on mine, its got little pits all over it, and there doesnt seem to be a pattern.
