Surging affect rear-end...

Does the surging from a cam affect your rear-end like wheel-hop does. I've noticed that sometimes if my car starts surging and I put in the clutch that the rear-end pops. It scares me since I have already broken one rear-end. Just wondering what's the deal on the issue.

Im sure it does to some extent, but youre not nearly dealing with the kind of forces you see with wheelhop. Thats 300+ RWTQ to 0 RWTQ to 300+ RWTQ again in rapid sucession. No way that surging or bucking would be that violent.

MMkkk...sometimes it makes me worry since it pops every now and then(when surging), and I've broke one 10-bolt already and it was a pita to get another one installed and it cost me $600 for a 10-bolt...
