Just curious, has any one put a dial indicator on the driveshaft(car off the ground in nuetral) and rotated the assembly to see if there is any runout?
Is it posiable for the rearend yoke to be off center? Or when a conversion u-joint was installed was it checked for center alignment?

I'm going through the same crap right now, I've changed everything and my last resort is to tear apart the tranny and replace the output shaft. I just don't have any time to do it, I hope I can have it done before the SAR LS1TECH race event on 11-12-05

TRUE pinion angle is what your suppose to be setting, not just reading off the rear pinion housing...take a reading off the driveshaft, then take a reading off the rearend housing at the pinion, the difference between the two will be your true pinion angle, adjust accordingly to maintain 1.5-2.0 negative pinion angle
