noisy posi. ok i got a factory rearend... factory gears posi everything... just bought the car about a month ago... im new to the whole camaro thang... a couple buddies of mine say that they make noise they all do its normal.. well while drving straight you can hear a clunk clunk clunk clunk about one a sec.. you can hear it good while slowing for a redlight..well when turning into a parking space it gets louder and faster.. is my rearend or posi goin out or is this normal..im thinking i might just get the fluid changed...and dont worry about it untill it breaks.. but what do yall think... inlighten me please

it kinda sounds like when a pad is staking around in the capiler but i hope it ante the posi i cant aford a new one.... if it is whats a good one to put back in there?

GM says that the Posi on a 99-02 car makes some clunking sounds on decel and going slowly around a turn. I say pull the cover and look for loose metal, gears missing teeth, or any other suspect foriegn objects.

It is a limited Slip-Posi. It is the posi slipping simply put. Don't forget to put the limited slip fluid in when you change your fluid or you may have more problems. It is annoying mine does the same thing.
