I'm guessing maybe a Zexel Torsen unit. I'm guessing that's what I've got in mine and it's a 99' Z28 too, but with an automatic.

Its a Zexel. Just pulled it out to look for my noise. Turns out i need two new axles becauser they sre all eaten up0 on the ends. What would cause the wheel bearings to go out like that? Also, are Moser good to replace with?

Who would make high stregth axles for these rears? I don't need a 9". I like my stock rear just fine so all I'm wanting to do is just refine it for my needs.

Nothing wrong at all with Moser axles. I'm sure some will disagree, but I think they make great stuff.
