Default Were to find torque arm to rear end bolt for Moser 12 bolt.

Ever since I installed a Spohn body mounted torque arm, I had a problem with the bolts that connect the torque arm to my 12 bolt backing out. I thought it was ok, until when I was doing my rear sway bar, I noticed one of the bolts on the top was loose, and the other bolt wasn't even on there. Must of fell off. Anyone know were I can find ones to use for the Moser?
BTW, which locktite would be the best to use to stop the bolts from backing out, but still be able to remove them down the road if I ever need to. Thanks
Jimmy

i got mine at advanced auto parts. when i went to the 12 bolt and the BMR i needed longer ones. just take one with ya. cause i cant remember the thread pitch or length..

btw mine kept coming out too. finally i used a BIG washer to distribute the pressure and a lock washer on top of that. it cured it for GOOD.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think there are any Advance Auto Stores in my area, do you think other stores would have them as well?

How do you use the lock washers. Do you tighten the bolt down until the washer is completely flat?
Thanks

Yes you tighten the bolts down to flatten out the lockwashers. Any hardware store should have the bolts. Make sure you specify grade 8 (stronger) bolts. Use red lok-tite. Bob

You can get a set of bolts (cad plated) from UMI Performance that are quite nice (I have a set).

Just another option.

Thanks, I will try hardware stores.

Those UMI bolts are for 10 bolts. They specify that you can't use them with a Moser 12 bolt.

Anyone know of any stores that sell bolts online?
I just went to a Pepboys, Autozone, Murrays, and even tryed a Home Depot.
Who knew that finding a 1" long 1/2x13 thread, grade 8 bolt would be so hard..

Should I get one thats a little bit longer, like a 1.25" to compensate for the extra material on the aftermarket torque arm?

Yea, I hear ya, the "Grade 8" is the issue, not many auto parts chain stores carry true "Grade 8" hardware, most carry "ungraded" fasteners. You might try a truck supply store or look up "industrial supplies" in a phone book, those types of places will definitely carry graded fasteners.

Yea, some did have grade 8 bolts, but not the lengh or thread type that I needed. Pepboys didn't have any at all. One of the guys there was kind enough to tell me about a store nearby that carries any type of bolt possible, but his directions weren't very specific and he didn't know its name, so I couldn't find it.

I ended up just searching on google for grade 8, and found a lot of websites that just carry fasteners(bolts) and washers. I ordered a couple of different sizes, to try to get as much thread in there as possible since the Spohn torque arm is thicker than the stock one.

Try www.mcmastercarr.com. I think they sell all there items to the public with out having a account, they will have the size you need. This is where we purchase many items in bulk.

Hope that helps,
Ryan

Is the diameter the same as the stock bolt? If so, I'll have a source and a part number for you this evening. I bought a pair of replacement bolts and nuts to use with the thicker BMR torque arm from Cateplillar tractor company.
