Default What type of 12 bolt?

So I went to the moser site to look at prices of the 12 bolts...I didnt realize there were so many options! Im looking to do a full 12 bolt setup from a 10 bolt stock rear end. Any information would be great on what to get. I have a 98 ver TA with traction control and M6 with spec 3 clutch.

Here is what I recommend below. As far as gear ratio's go, I would go with 3:73 gears for automatics that see highway use. 4.10's for six speeds. This is just a general rule. If your car is making 500+ rwhp, 4.10's may not get you through the 1/4 mile, depending on tire diameter and engine rpm. Bob

Moser 12 bolt with True Trak posi, your choice of gear ratio.
Moser 33 spline 10 year warrantied axles.
Moser ABS or ABS/TCS.
Moser performance (TA) cover.
Moser crate fee.

Rear end is shipped two days after order is taken. $2350.00 + freight collect.
Freight cost is normally $65.00 to $150.00, depending on location from Indiana.

We are located approx one hour away from Moser, which has resulted in us having a very good relationship with Moser. Bob

Looking at your website here, it says to select the gears that I prefer...I dont see any 4:10s. I see 4:11s am I just not looking at the right 12bolt here? And buying one of these will include everything I need to swap over right?

Having the car lowered is a not a problem with the 12 bolt. I have a customer with one in a lowered 1LE track car

Mosers use 9" axle tubes so they will put your rear end up in the air a little. Many people counter this by taking the top spring perch out and using a section of garden hose to cover the top coil.

Yes I know what they use. I have installed and sold more Moser 12 bolts and 9" rears than I can count. I have a customer I sponsor with a 1LE race car with a 12 bolt. The car is almost on the ground and there are no issues with it

JnJSpdShop. You site shows abs for a 12 bolt spool. I was told you couldn't get abs with a spool? Is this true.

Yes, just call us and we can take your order over the phone. Everything is pretty much included. You will need to purchase 3 qts of non synthetic gear lube, posi additive, 4 bolts for the torque arm, a new universal joint, and a section of tubing for the vent line. Bob

The True Trac made by the same company that makes the Detroit Locker, has proven itself to be more dependable, and won't become a one tire spinner as easily as the Eaton does. I have sold doznes of these in Mosers, and have not had any problems. Bob

Do you still need the posi additive with the True-Trac? I thought it was clutchless. Just curious.

They are clutchless, but it still tends to make it operate quieter. Bob

The Moser 12 bolt that I spec'd out on page 1 of this thread would be a great way to go for your car. 4:10 gears would give you a little more exceleration over your 3:73 gears. Bob

Yeah that is just an error in the listing. Spool defeats the purpose of ABS

Nope no posi additive necessary because there are no friction plates

I did this, and it works!!!!

I have a M6, Spec 3i Clutch and a 12-bolt/4.10's/33spline/ABS/TCS/TA Support/Eaton!!! Go with a Tru-Trac instead of an Eaton though!!!
