I am assuming you have an A4. If so, go with a Yank Thruster Pro 4400 stall convertor. That is a great convertor going from a roll. If that is too much stall or too loose, maybe an SY4000 or TP4000 would be better. I'm not sure how well those convertors work with nitrous though. I know the Pro Yank Extreme is more suited for nitrous, but I'm not sure how well it does from a roll (3400 stall if I remember correctly).
If you have an M6, I would say 4.10's would be your best bet.

You correct this by simply finding your sweet spots, or putting in another gear...
"Sweet spots" can make you or break you if you're racing on the street. The mph you indicated is to high for 1st, and way to low for second so it goes into the bottom of second, below your powerband which is why it's "slowly getting up". Learn your sweet spots and figure out which mph is best for going WOT and getting the best downshift.
The only other way to fix this would be to change your gearing. Convertors will help from a roll, but they can't change your gearing.

Yep, since your car came with 3:23's you wouldn't notice much of a diff. going to a 3:42. 3:73's would definately make 30 mph more usable at WOT. As well as any other rpm or speed .

But keep in mind that with 3.73's the PCM wont allow the trans to downshift into 2nd any high than 45-50MPH or so. That will cause you to lose some races on the freeway if you are not on bottle. To combat thi sI just downshift it manually to 2nd gear at anything under about 70mph which gives me a quick jump before I hit 3rd again. But I wouldnt do this on jiuce because your R's will go up toofast for you and the PCM to react.
I would just try manually downshifting with the gears you have and see if that helps. But I have heard that this could hurt the tranny if done too many times so save it for when you really NEED it.

3.73s will help now, but will be too much gear if move up to the next level TNT kit. Likewise a YTP4000E would be fine now, but is too much stall for a 2 stage kit.
Sorry to say, but the optimum nitrous set-up will not be same as the optimum NA set-up. You need to choose your path and go from there.

Honestly, keep your 3.23's man. Their OK off the line but from about a little over 10 and up to 30mph your car will get that hard downshift into 1st gear. Yes I know that the 30-45mph sucks(makes the car a dog) because you don't get a good downshift but from 50-65mph these A4 LS1's are animals from a roll. You get that KILLER downshift into 2nd gear and it only gets better the faster you go. Well at least for my car it does. 3.73's would give you a nice sweet spot from 35-50mph(maybe even close to 55) but you'll lose that awesome highway kickdown until about 85mph or so. Besides, you already have a Vig 3200 which should help with the dead spots some.
Its all in the gearing but thats the price we pay for having automatics instead of manuals!
