I had 410s in my 10bolt untill the rear blew up couple weeks ago. Something locked up, 2/3 of my richmond ring gear are sheared and 2 teeth on the pinion gear are done. Now I have a stock 10bolt with 342s.

I'm still running my 4.71 Gear setup in the narrowed Moser 9"
Still hasn't missed a beat. Yes, that's right... I said 4.71 Gear
I don't hit the Rev Limiter, nor do I shift into O.D.
However, I do shift at 7400 RPM with the limiter set at 7700.
Still a lil' ole Forged FMS 347ci. (Stock block and Crank)
All depends on who and how the engine is built.

Oh,..... and 28" M/T DR's and a Yank SS4000-Extreme Converter

It can be done!

I've run 3.73s 4.10s and 4.30s....

For most cases I would certainly go with some Motive 3.73s...

3.23's in my 10 bolt and traction is still an issue with the Nitto's. 3.42 would probably be ideal not sure its worth it for the marginal gain. Ain't even considering the 3.73, hell I'd never get any traction.

3.73's and 3600 stall here, good combo but traction is impossible on the street, would like 3.42's and maybe a lower st 34-3800.

befor with the 3.23 gears from a stop it would spin alittle in 1st around 4000 rpm
now with the 3.73 gears from a stop it spin all through 1st and in 2nd.
It never did that with the 3.23 gears unless i was spraying it.
