need help asap ok i have a big problem, i just installed my tranny in my car, a4, it was previously a six speed. the first week of driving it was fine, nothing wrong, checked everything, and it shifted fine. Now when i drive it and have it in drive, it revs to 6k at 50mph, what's wrong with it? i checked the fluids and it was fine, i don't think it was the tranny because it only had about 8k miles on it when i bought it, and the guy i bought it from is legit. can someone please help me out, and figure what is wrong

Re: need help asap Do you have ported maf ends on your car? I heard something about them causing problems with line pressure for some reason...a4 guys could probably answer this better than I can...just a thought..good luck

Re: need help asap Well from what I gather and this is just what I am thinking that it might be, is you need a lock up switch, the tranny doesn't sound as if it is locking up. You might need to put a manual lock up switch on it, also you might check the theory of the maf ends have also heard a lot about that. hope that that is it and it works out for ya if not email me and we can talk about it more specific and see what we can do to fix it
