How much play is needed in driveshaft???HELP
I measured exactly as instructed by their web site. I thought I did something wrong. After installing, I had 1" metal to metal and about 1/2' D/S to rubber seal. I called Denny and he explain that I had a normal reaction and that it was made and measured prefectly. BTW you only need less than an inch at ride height.
Think about it. If the driveshaft moves a full inch towards the tranny, then that means the rear-end and axles are moving a full inch towards the tranny, which means you probably need to replace the rubber bushings in your lower control arms, or else connect your lower control arms.
The rear end will move in an arc around the pivot point where the LCA's are connected to the subframes, but that translates into very little front to back movement along the same axis as the tranny.

Thanks for posting. I got my Denny's a few weeks ago, and noticed the EXACT same thing. I hadn't called them on it, though, as I didn't *think* I would have problems, but I'm glad to know that they did build it right.
BTW, the Denny's shaft rocks. I'm loving the Cartek / Dennys / Moser / ET Street combo at the strip. 6K clutch dumps, dead reliable every time.
