Default PT4400...

How often will this verter throw a code with ONLY Hypertech as tuning? Is it even worth trying without custom tuning or LS1 Edit?

Thanks,
Jeff

Depends on the year F-Body. Very unlikely to throw a code on a '98-'00. On a '01-02 it might, but I haven't really heard of it happening on the later LS1s either. You should be in good shape!

Only got the Solenoid A or B code after setting in stop and go traffic for about an hour <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Other than that didn't have any trouble with it... till the TM (Torque Management) issues started. Like said above, on a 98-00 you shouldn't have any troubles.

Since my custom programming I haven't had a single problem with my tranny. My guess.. GM got a little crazy on the '01 & up computers, dealing with the tranny.

I mean it's one thing to drive around with a 4400rpm stall converter, but an SES light? That's just not streetable.

I don't know why I thought you couldn't run this stall without custom tuning. I guess I made that up in my head! Thanks for the input guys!

Well.. on a 98 you'll be ok. A 2001 & up.. programming is almost manditory.

My car ran great for about 6 months with the TP-4400, then came the Torque Management beast. Ed Wright cured that for me <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

BTW: That was without a HPP. They hadn't released them for the 2001 then

Maybe you'll race me next time I see you on the street with a convertor <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> .
