E-brake First of all, I have a Moser 12 bolt. The E-brake handle sometimes "FLIES" up. That is, I'll pull on it, and there won't be any backpressure. It also will not engage. But if I put it back down, and re-engage...it works without a problem. Anyone else had this problem? I'm also getting the infamous LOW TRAC light even when my tires are not slipping. (though I think it's just a dirty sensor)
There's a little POS spring on the side of the mechanism that is probably messed up. It keeps a pawl lined up with the gear teeth on the mechanism. I have the same issue. There's no part number for it either.
I had to rebuy the whole assembly and I also had to adjust my rear e-brake mini drums. The rear e-brake mini drums are a task to adjust. You have to take off the caliper, then the rotor then find the adjuster wheel which is way in the bottom of the hub, then turn it down to expand them. There is no way to tell if you are doing it rite. LoL untill you reinstall the rotor, if the axle turns freely then you are doin ok. If you reinstall the rotor and it doesnt turn it means you over expanded the mini drum and have to back it off a hair. Its tedious.

na its less than 100, I got mine locally thru a GM dealer, I think online its less but u have to wait on it and they screw u on da shipping. I think I paid sumwhere round 60-75 bucks. BTW it solved that crappy popping thing.

I have the same issue as well.....
If the little POS spring isn't keeping the teeth lined up, why not replace the spring or piggyback it with a stronger one?
