Anyone having problems with Moser 12 bolt and torque arm bolts?
I'm having issues with the top torque arm bolts backing out all the time where it bolts to the rear. I don't know why Moser didn't design the rear to use 2 long bolts with a nut on the bottom like the stock rear. These bolts are really short. Even with loctite and lock washers they are backing out after some hard launches. Is this happening to anyone else?

Mine is doing the same thing.
JS yours will die very soon as well.
Cartek installed mine too without lock washers. I had to drive all the way back up there to get it fixed.
Then it has loosened up a little from launching hard on the street a little and I had to torque it back down a little.
Stealth Torque arms are nice, but a pain in the *** with Moser 12 bolts.

Re: Anyone having problems with Moser 12 bolt and torque arm bolts?
idea is to do it right the first time.. if it comes loose once, odds are it will continue comming loose because the holes are wallowing out from the start.
i did what the instructions said and tightend the **** out of em with all i could get on it. and they have been fine for about 15k miles now.
i would buy new bolts and washers and inspect the threads in the hole as well as the torque arm itself.

I have the exact same problem here. No matter how tight I make the bolts they still come loose. Really starting to **** me off. Moser 12 bolt

damn I thought I was the only one. is there anyway to maybe get longer bolts to go all the way through the housing and put nylon nuts on the one side and have lock washers on both sides? Im not sure if you can get nuts on the back side but If you could I bet this would be the best way to get the to stop from backing out.

Yep, that is a common problem with 12 bolts - don't know of a cure at the moment other than using locktite.

Mine did at first, but then I used red loctite and torqued them to 100 ft/lbs and they have not backed out since.

Hey that pic rigs a bell. FINALLY got the car up and running for more than a week with the new 12 bolt. Then the second week. SNAP goes the torq. arm. I am awating my BMR as we speak. I'm going to get mine Tight this time or shure and SOAK them in loctite. I wish i had the instructions with mine' it got lost in shipment so i had no clue to get them that tight. Oh well took two weeks to get the moser here. I guess another week wont kill me. Tim 98z

What are the symptoms/signs of the bolts loosening up? My Moser is "clunking" and i'm not sure what it is.

Re: Anyone having problems with Moser 12 bolt and torque arm bolts?
I suspect everyone who has problems can't get it tight enough. To put enough leverage is very difficult with a torque wrench unless you have access to a lift, or very high ramps like a Kwik Lift which I use. And those bolts loosen up when hot. I tightened mine to 100ft/lbs when the rear is hot after a long drive.

Symtoms i had was the rear felt a little loose a low steady speeds like crusing through a neighborhood at 25mph. The car would buckle.
