Default Vibration at 100 mph

I had my gears swapped the other week and noticed that my car vibrates at about 100 or so. This started right after the gear swap so I am sure that it is because of this. I am about to take it back to the shop, is there anything in particular that may cause this?

If you put in lower gears it may be because your driveshaft is spinning faster than before.

I did put in 3.73s, which are up from the 3.23s stock. I wonder though how come it is doing that now? Before hand, I've taken it up to 130ish and it never vibrated at all. I also don't have the stock steel LT1 driveshaft but the aluminum LS1 driveshaft.

So is there anyway to fix this problem? I am currently having the same problem at around 80+ mph. I think I still have the stock LT1 driveshaft though if that makes a difference.

You know, I think I may have read somewhere that if you disconnect the U-Joints and rotate the driveshaft 180*, then it puts it back to how it may have been before the gears were installed. I'm going to try that and let you know if it works.

In my experience with this issue, the vibration will be better with the Al shaft. Try it and see.

Did you change the drive shaft at the same time?

Did you check the u-joints for play?

Did you tires throw the wheel weights?

Lots of possibilities espescialy at those kinds of speeds.

they already said it, but yea, its probably from the driveshaft spinning faster.

GOOD NEWS: I unbolted the U-Joints at the rear end and rotated the rear 180 degrees and put the driveshaft back in. Absolutely NO more vibration, so go on and try that out.

Doesn't really matter. Like I said, I just unblolted the U-Joints from the rear and slid it out, turned the wheels until the yoke (I think that is what it is called?) was turned 180 degrees, and then put the U-Joints back in. Hope it helps you out!
