Oops, just logged on and saw this. Yes, as always, you're right. This is such a new and cutting edge branch of technology that admitidly, I'm knot up on the latest research and I really should have been before I went barking up this tree. Treated or not? Pine or oak? Sorry, I'm treely stumped this time! Wood you forgive me? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

I'd get the Ratech. I never had it with my old 98SS M6, and went thru like 3 sets of gears, all of which would whine after a few powershifts on drag radials.

StevieZ is hilarious...
Try LE (Lubrication Engineers) lube from Fort Worth, Texas. They have a nice website and they are lube suppliers for NASA etc. The LE lube is very long chain oil that is thyxotropic (so it is thick when at rest and thin when in motion. The thick coating quiets down noisy gears but it isn't going to be a miracle cure for mechanical problems. Expect maybe a 2-3 decibel difference. The chevy dealer here has used this stuff for about 20 years to solve customer complaints about rearend noise.

I went from the 90w to the 140 w and it did nothing..I also had the ratech collar thing..didn't make the slightest difference..I would try that 240 redline.I still think our cheap pos stock rears don't hold spec. Some hard launches and the specs go to hell...
