I need a 12 bolt. Strange or Moser?
I want a 12 bolt, 33 spline, Eaton posi, with TA cover.
Something that will be as close to a direct bolt in as you can get.
I would prefer backing plates already on, but will send mine in, not pay extra.
This will be behind an auto, so I dont think I will need a different yoke?
Open to suggestions on what options to get & who has the best prices. Thanks.

I have a Moser and am pleased with it. Moser's ARE less expensive (got mine with EVERY option for 2100 or 2200 hundred), and IMO, are just as good as Strange. I did the install myself (with 2 other guys) and it was a direct bolt it. Piece of cake. I got to used my old brake backing plates, so there was no down time. If your going to run your stock driveshaft, get a 1310 yoke, but get a 1350 for aftermarkets.
After reading alot of posts I ordered the Strange for around $2100.I also went to the dealer and bought new backing plates for $120 so I would have no down time.Should be here in a week or two.
The 4.10 gears that came in my Strange were total ****. THE NOISIEST DAMN GEARS I've ever had and I've had more than 20 cars with some type of gear set/axle change. I use to be a Strange and Moser dealer. The gears were installed as good as they could be, I took it down and checked it myself and the setup was right, just **** for a gear set. I tore the damn eaton posi to shreads also after 140 miles total on the odo.1.52 60fts and it cried uncle. Yeah I opted for the heavy duty version(also sold as a moroso) and it **** the bed. Dont try to get any warranty on noisy gears or broken posi units, total waste of time unless you are willing to ship the whole assembly back to Strange for a looksee. Fix? Yep, I installed some 3.73's myself(getting ready to try some tnt) and switched to a spool. All this and I'm only putting down 400 ft lbs of torque with the stock internal setup N/A. Well at least it never left me stranded.
P.S. Spool = no abs.

12 bolts no matter whos you buy will make more noise than the 10 bolt, I have the Moser and it came complete with all the options (less the T/A cover which if you ask moser its not needed) The clunk in the driveline is louder and there is a slight whine when your hitting the backlash (when you are on light throttle). My biggest complaint is that the pinion seal leaks and Moser does not feel that that is a problem I guess these are the things you must accept if you want to send more power to the rear wheels.

I was at the track the day after I replaced a grenaded $600 ac delco distributor in my pain in the *** 94 z28 along with plugs & wires and naturally wanted to see what she did. holy **** it was fast! I ran a 9.17 bone stock in the 1/8th ! thats about 13.9's in the 1/4. Well the thing is I was doing a burnout when I felt a hard series of thuds. I thought maybe it was wheel hop. when I took off it did it again so I shut it down. the car drives ok but makes the hard hard thuds in the rear section of the car under hard accelleration. any Idea what this could be. please email mandcmain@earthlink.net
I really don't think you could go wrong with either setup. I have the Moser and its awesome. Gears are quiet, it don't leak and no torque arm fitment problems at all.
I had the Strange 12-bolt in my T/A, and I was very disappointed. The brakes were installed backwards when I received the rearend. The damn spider gears in the posi grenaded upon launch after ~3,000 miles. This, in turn, trashed the transmission at the same time. That little escapade cost me $1,700! I had the 33-spline HD Eaton posi. I spoke to Strange, and they sent me to Eaton. I spoke with them, and they said that low 11's in the 1/4 and low 1.5 60' times were too quick for a posi; I needed a spool. It's funny that they didn't mention this when I ordered it! What's even better is that the warranty on your 12-bolt is automatically void if you run slicks. Isn't that the whole point of getting a stronger rearend?
I'm going to stick with my measly 10-bolt. I can break it for less money.
