Default posi goin out?

when i seldom do a burnout, why is one side so much darker than the other? is this a sign of the rear going out?

its a sign of more RPM on that tire or that tire trying to catch more traction and with the added rpm itll get more friction than the other.

No, it's the posi. You might have a torsen differential, which is kind of a weakling...or if you do have the auburn, your clutches may just be worn out. Either way, it won't defer power like it should and thus you have one wheel turning harder than the other. It's not something that will keep you from driving the car, but it will give you some one wheel peels.

You would have to pull the cover off and look, as far as I know there is not an RPO code for it. Auburn would have yellow springs in it and a pin pushing out the axles. Torsen has a lot of worm gears (no springs) and a paddle pushing out the axles.

No I just said I didn't even know if there was an RPO for it. It could have come with either.

No prob. Just pull the rear cover chances are it's time for a rear fluid change anyway.

Jack it up, put it in N, spin the rear wheels, if they spin opposite its a torsen, if they spin the same direction, its auburn.
