From: Back in the OKC now...
Gear Question So I was involved in an accident quite a while back... I ended up talking the dealer who replaced the rear end to grab one that was supposedly out of a firehawk (3.42 gears) so I used Efi-Live to edit from 2.73 to 3.42 and all that, but I am 100% sure it's not correct... How do I verify what gear set I have in the rear?

Is your car a manual or auto? I know the gear ratios for the T-56 manual 6-speed. If an auto, tell me the gear ratios for the tranny. Then:
Tell me the gear you are in, the speed you are going, the RPM, and the tire size (such as 275/40R-17) on your car and I'll tell you the differential ratio.

They replaced the entire rear? How far is it off? Not much difference between 3.23 or 3.42 depending on the donor car being A4 or M6.
4th, 3.23, 2100 RPM = 71 MPH
4th, 3.42, 2100 RPM = 67 MPH
4th, 2.73, 2100 RPM = 84 MPH
Or get someone with you on the highway and tell them go go 70, match their speed, then look at your RPM's and bounce it off the chart.
