Default Fill plug on Moser 12 bolt housing

I believe that one needs a 9/16" alan (hex) wrench to remove the fill plug on the Moser 12 bolt. This is where the factory fill plug would be on a factory rearend. If I am correct on the wrench size where in the hell can you get one at? I have looked everywhere for it. All help will be appreciated.

P.S. I have a hex socket for the fill plug on the rearend cover. This is the plug by the pinion yoke.

I just went to Harbor Freight and got some industrial sized hex keys.

You could also find a bolt that fits into that plug...put it in head first, and then put a couple of nuts on there and use that to loosen it up.

OR
find some 9/16 hex steel stock, cut off about a 2" piece, heat it up to glowing red with a propane torch, quench it in used oil to harden it.

Mine is a 14mm. A 9/16" was too big and a 1/2" was too small. I found mine at Autozone.

10-4 as soon as this work week is over I;m going to call Moser to be sure before I go buying tools. Hopefully I can find a set of larger hex sockets. I hate buying just one.

What did you find out on this? Is 14mm hex key the right size?

Jim
