Tonight as I was getting ready to make a right onto a road from a stop sign I let out on the clutch slowly and this loud popping came from my right rear area, I didn't know what to do so I pulled over looked under the car, everything looked fine.
I proceeded to go further down the road and came up on a stop light and as I was stopped and began to roll forward a bit when the light turn green it popped real loud on the drivers side rear area.
As soon as I got home I put it up on rhino ramps in the rear and with a flash light carefully examined everything all suspension parts/bolts and the rear end and everything looked fine. I cant find anything out of the ordianry. How would I know if the lower control arm bushings were bad? Also it doesnt do it when Im cruisisng down the road only when I am turning real slow. The rear end sounds fine to when Im cruising. Nothing abrnormal there either.
Please help me what should I look for?
Thanks

If it was the rear end wouldn't it Pop all the time and not just slowly going around turns?
I dont want to have the drain the flud just yet or take the cover off until I have some for sure answeres...
I really hope its not the rear end, I want to think as that as my last option.
Could it be the cv joint in the driveshaft?

Becasue it only happens when you turn it sounds like the posi. That is when your posi is at work, turning the axles at different speed to compensate for shorter/longer turning radius of the inner/outer wheel.

WTF, did you strip some teeth? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
The noise is probably those pieces of metal getting caught in the ring and pinion. What do you think Justin?
