Default TORQUE ARMS ??

Ive got a couple questions about them.

1. When would you need to look into one?

2. How much does it help in traction?

3. Is it worth it on a a4 with 3.73 gears and a tp4400?

4. Does it hurt having a 10 bolt vs a 12 bolt?

These questions probially dont make since but Im just wondering when I should look into getting one.

TIA
ALbert

Unless your a rich SOB, it is a big fat waste of money on an A4.

I run 1.3 60's with the STOCK torque arm. Using a TP4400 and 3.73 gears just like you.

A 12 bolt will put a little more weight right over the wheels and that by itself should help traction just a little.

Spend the torque arm moola on tires.

I would say if you have a lot of torque and sticky tires I would think about. Are you running with nitrous, forced induction, or stroker? If so, I would at least get the Edelbrock TA. I don't trust a tack welded, stamp sheetmetal torque arm. I went to the BMR TA because I need to adjust the pinion angle for the hard launchs and keep the U-Joint from wearing or binding.

But I figured it would be useless with a a4.

I had TERRIBLE wheel hop.

My G2 unit eliminated it and I didn't have to drill or weld anything to install it.

With my automatic I bent 3 stock torque arms before going to the spohn unit. Its a little bent now and should break anytime now. I would get a MADMAN torque arm. They are the best.

My random tech helped dramatically on hard braking in autox. Depends on what you plan on doing with the car in part.
