Anyone running 4.56’s on a stock SS m6 rear end. The car will never have slicks will the rear end hold.

I think you will be more prone to snap an axle as the gears act as a torque multiplier to the rear wheels putting more stress to the axles. If you have a virgin rear end with few miles on it, it may last for a few months.

so damn unnecessary.. just do 4.10s. 4.56s basically make your sixth gear into your 5th gear when u have 3.42s

You should be alright if you go from a 15-20 mph roll. As long as you get everything moving good you shouldn't break anything. Those would be fun gears to race from 40-110 or so.

I broke my 4:10's going to third gear at about 60-70 and I don't powershift. So I would not get these gears.

heymoej has 4.56 in his ss runnin fat *** 18" nittos and no troubles. and hes a gear grabbin junky

4.56's here but in a a-4 with a detroit tru-trac in the 10 bolt with no problems so far except traction.....traction was problem with 3.73's I have'nt had the chance to use the et's with the 4.56's yet though
