4.10 Question, Which brand i am sure that this has been asked couple times
But what is the best brand for a 4.10 or 4.11

If i am correct, either the Richmond or Motive gear whines like a biatch!!!

None, I would not suggest you to get any set of 4.10s
I went through 2 sets in a little less than 3 months. Just get 3.73s or some 3.90s if you can. If you go with 4.10s, the teeth begin to get too small and are more brittle and prone to breaking. Any super hard downshifting, launching, etc will just break them.

i ran gm 4.10s for a full yr on drag radials(about 6k miles) alot of hard street launches and about 10-12 2500rpm track launches. held up great. i know richmonds whine like a **** from what im told and experienced. id go with either motive peformance, motive gm,AAm gears from scott@driveline. i might be goin to some 3.90s next year if i have to shift into 5th since i just added headers/y/ud pulley. was trapping in 4th gear this yr at 110mph before new parts

get motive. Richmond is the whiney bitch. I have motive 4.10 in my car for a year now i go to the track every weekend, they have lived through a broken axle shaft and a exploded auburn pro series diff, i have launched from 5 grand hundreds of times with my gears so far so good.

I went with Richmond, they whine but not too bad, its all about how they get set up and broken in. I broke a set of GM 4.10s, and I expect I'll probably break these too some day.

i put the motive gears in mine just last weekend and they whine a little. they are the performance not the street gears. ive been told that the race gears on the richmonds and motives will whine, but the richmonds were the worst.
