Default Only spinning one tire?

This past weekend i did a couple of burnouts and both times i only laid down one strip of rubber. What would cause me to only spin my right tire? It's a 99 TA if it makes any difference. Thanks

I'm no expert, but my first guess would be maybe your suspension is off? Have you tried lifting the rear and seeing if both wheels spin equally when off the ground?

sorry for the wrong info, scratch that. I was told that when 10bolts start to go, they spin one wheel and get loud.

So youre saying that it is not the posi but the whole 10 bolt that is giving out? Whats the best way to pin point the problem to determine if its something fixable or if its time to invest in a 9"/12 bolt. Since i dont spend much time at the track i would like to avoid going to the 9" or 12 bolt.

You probably have a torsen differential, and it is doing what torsens do best. It is a very wimpy diff and can't hold up to much - it just does the one wheel peel for you instead of locking down both wheels. If you are hearing no abnormal noises/sounds, chances are everything is technically ok - the diff itself is just a crappy design.

Turn the Traction Control on. That will fix it.

If you rebuild your 10bolt put an eaton or auburn carrier in it, some motive gears, and moser axles, this will beef things up a little.

If you take off your diff cover and see yellow springs, you have an auburn, I know 98s had them the 2000s and up I believe have a torsen.
