Default assembling axles for moser 9"?

well im looking at the directions that came with it. and so you place in this order:

axle- slip backing plate on, which will kinda just be there until bolted down correct- then you slip the bearing and press on- then slide the press ring on and press fit.

BUT i got this red o ring with a gasket on it and it does not say anything about it. it does say for other years use the 1/8 spacer. its not a 1/8 spacer though.

where does this red seal/gasket go. and from what ive read, when you bolt the four bolts on thats what holds the axle in place. pushing against the bearings nothing else.

Sounds like you are talking about the inner housing seals. They go in each housing end where the axles slide in.

directions stated to not use synthetic, but it did not say what weight to use. ima just use some 75/90 non sythetic to break it in like they said and put some heat cylces to it. how many quarts does it take. the fill hole seems pretty low. to hold alot of fluid. some say 3 quarts. is it able to get that much in there?
