Well you can order the 9'' with a Chevy bolt pattern, right? You get to keep your wheels if you have ones you like. So the only down side is that your car is higher in the rear due to the axle tubes of the 9''.

Considering the performance advantages and prices I have seen it seems like the 9'' is a good deal.

Stock driveshaft will fit if you use a Napa pn# 240-0447 U Joint, which is a 1310/1350 conversion U Joint.

Everything bolt back up, the Moser 9 inch rear for the F Body is designed to fit the F Body.

Moser 9 Inch with Truetrac for F Body, your choice of gear ratio

I did the heater hose mod when I put in my 9" and noticed no difference in ride height. I didn't measure it to make sure but just by looking at it I couldn't tell the difference.

We have members on this site that have gone 8's and 7's with a 12-bolt. You DON'T have to get a 9" and 12-bolts don't break easy .

Peace,
Craig.

2500 for the 9''? That's not much more of any 12 bolt I have seen listed. The thing is even if you don't need it you aren't paying much more for the 9'' over the 12. Plus, the 9'' weights less, right?

I sell the Moser 9 inch without the 4 channel (ABS/TCS) for $2400.00 shipped. $2500.00 shipped with the 4 channel. This usually ends up being the same price as the Moser 12 bolt once the freight collect shipping is paid on the 12 bolt. The 9 inch rears go by UPS, as the fully assembled center section arrives in a plastic case, ready to bolt into the housing, making UPS an option as the parts then are under their weight limits.
The 9 inch weighs a little more than the 12 bolt, but the extra strength found in the 9 inch is worth it. Bob

The Moser 9 inch is designed to work with all the stock factory components on an F Body. You can keep your stock brakes, stock wheels, etc. Bob

You will need 3 gts of 80/90 non synthetic weight gear lube.

Two 3.00" Napa exhaust U bolt clamps. Use the U part with the bottom part of your sway bar clamps. You will have to oblong the holes in the bottom parts, which is easy to do.

You will need Napa pn# 240-0447 1310 to a 1350 conversion U Joint, if you are using the stock driveshaft.

You will need 2 ft of vacuum line to connnect to the rear for the vent line.

Paint if you want to paint the rear. Rustoleum works very well. Thats all I can think of. Bob

bob from exotic, let me ask you three questions, the shop that ordered my moser 9" didn't order 1/2" studs with it and it is already installed. how much trouble will it be for me to replace them.what is the longest stud i can use as the ones in axle do not come out the ends of the lug nuts? also shop told me stock aluminum driveshaft was to short and sold me steel shaft, could i have made aluminum one work?

I would get a 12 bolt. You dont need a 9 inch for an automatic.

The studs aren't too hard to replace. You can get ones that are approx 3.00" long.
The stock shaft would indeed work. The steel shaft should be stronger than the stock aluminum shaft, provided they sold you a good one, so all is not lost there. I have seen a lot of the stock 3.0" aluminum driveshafts fail. The 3.5" 1200hp rated aluminum driveshaft that I sell is a strong seller, because so many people have failures with the stock driveshaft. Bob
