Default 9" ?

Alright guys, before i blow my 10 bolt ive decided to go the 9" route...the main reason being that a guy i work with is a diehard ford guy and says he could prolly come up with a 9" center section pretty cheap as he runs across them quite often. My basic ? is, is this even possible? what about the t/a mount? what would I have to do axle wise etc etc...basically looking for the full run down on all that i would need, and what exact center section i need too. thanks alot guys, tried search to but couldnt find exacly what i was looking for, if someone has a link that works too! thanks guys!

Contact either Scot at Driveline Solutions or Bob at EPP. You need a housing to hold that center section and a few things with it.

the 9" stock center sections are weak. however, better than a 10 bolt. the problem is if you buy the correct parts to get the 9" in the car, you will still lose the ABS/TCS. and if the center breaks, then it's gonna cost 900-1200 to buy a good one. I'd go S60 or 12 bolt, bolt it in, keep the ABS/TCS working, and not modify the floorpans to get it in the car.

Do you have and auto or standard transmisson? The general recommendation is that you use a 12 bolt with an auto and a 9" with a stick. More shock to the rear with a stick than an auto.

I have a 9" and ABS and TCS and they both work. Got mine from Scott at Driveline Solutions. Straight bolt in very happy with it.

its a 6 speed car, and the center section would not be a stock piece, it would probaly just be coming out of a modded ford car...I told him to look for a 9" with 3.73-4.10's and a truetrac or locker/spool whatever it maybe, thanks for the link!
