I was stopped tonight and dropped the clutch for a burn out for my friends, when i got some traction i put it in second gear but when i hit the gas again the RPM's just went straight up and i didnt feel anything. It was like i was revin the engine in nuetral. Also this will happen in third sometimes and then it takes a good deal of force to pull the stick out of third gear. What could be the problem??? Clutch, rear end, fluids? I have no idea what could be happening, but will fix whatever it is A.S.A.P.!!! Please Help!!

I would say your clutch is smoked.But that is only a guess.

 

I did that once at the strip but I did it in 2nd and 3rd so i stopped about the 600ft down the track because I thought I messed something up but I did not in fact. Just drove it home but it smelled like burned clutch for a few days. It can take a few of these before it totally goes out I,ve done a few times and I now have over 60,000 miles on stock clutch.
