i have an A4 with a 3500 stall. Would I have any problems with the 4:10's? Also I have heard that 4:10's are hard on a 10 bolt. Is that true and are the 4:10's worth it. I did do a search but didn't find much on the stall question.

you will hit the rev limiter unless you have bigger tires! i had 410's and a 3500 stall and went through the lights at 6600! that was with teh MS3 cam with the rev limiter at 6900!

so unless you have a big cam or a higher rev limiter(which wouldnt be good on the stock cam) you shouldnt do it!

 

Thanks for the reply. How about 3:73's then? Would they make much of a difference or is it best to just go with the stock gears with the 3500?

 

the 373 will def. work and if you want to maximize you setup than you would go with those! they will prolly give you anywhere from .1-.2!

I am running a 224/224/114 cam, 26X10.5x 16" mickey et streets. the stall flashes @ 3600 and I have 4.10 gears. I pull through the 1/4 with no problem.

 

whats your rev limtiter set at? ^
